Michelle + Corey get married outside in Virginia (feat: a rainbow)
Michelle and Cory flew me out to Washington DC and from there, I rented a car and drove about an hour to their wedding site for the weekend: A gorgeous Airbnb and its sprawling land on a hillside in the middle of seemingly nowhere. AKA it was perfect.
The night before the wedding, they hosted everyone at the venue (me included) for a welcome party/dinner. Laid back vibes and drinks with a delicious dinner. They welcomed me right in like I had been an old friend forever. I knew there was nowhere else I was supposed to be.
The wedding day came. Some personal favorite details included: Michelle opting for 2 dresses; a ceremony in the field just as a rainstorm was blowing in; the ceremony finishing right in the nick of time for everyone to make it under the clear-top tent; flower crowns and a champagne welcoming to the festivities; family-style dinner served once the rain passed; a freaking rainbow showing up right before said dinner; one of the best dang salads of my life (I think about this thing so often); night-time toasts over cheers and laughter with friends; and last but not least, their dog running around wearing a floral collar. 10/10 would do all of this again. (Some of these images didn’t resize well, but I’ve got too much blog to worry about it. Please pretend the super blurry/pixely images in this post are not in real life bc they are not. Thank you so much.)
Okay, love you, bye.
